Sugandha Dubey rolls out Stock Image Bank

Campaign India Team, 01 December, 2009, New Delhi

Sugandha Dubey, former business and content head, North India, Getty Images has launched an entrepreneurial venture called Stock Image Bank. The online image bank is now available under the brand name www.stockimagebank.com. The images on the site can be searched via keyword search option as well as categories dropdown for an easy search.
“We at Stock Image Bank are currently focusing only on creative Indian imagery which is the need of the hour. There are unlimited options available to the smart Indian clients in both micro and macro stock of western origin. The glitch is Indian content, and that is where we will have our edge,” explained Dubey. “Our USP lies in giving full size images that have not been interpolated. We charge our client on usage and not size which means even if your usage is small we will not compromise on the quality of the images we will provide. We are pumping in close to 10,000 images a month. I am quite optimistic about bringing about the shift in the way images have been seen till now!”

Stock Image Bank, being an independent producer and distributor of contemporary stock photography, works closely with photographers. “We are very selective about the type of work we create or choose to take on. We believe in producing well researched, trend analyzed content keeping all types of consumers in mind,” added Dubey.

The content is divided into creative and wildlife categories. Stock Image Bank images have already been used by major agencies such as JWT, O&M, Publicis and Mudra.

With the online boom, digital stock imagery has clearly emerged as the most viable creative option to professionals, from the concept to the final layout stage.

Stock Image Bank – The Indian Image Bank, focuses purely on superior, well researched, high on creativity, quality images that are at par with the international standards of images currently available.

"It is time we showcase the superior quality of Indian creative’s to the world" feels Sugandha Dubey founder CEO of Stock Image Bank. She further emphasizes, "The bank understands the creative needs & will strive to fulfill them on-time, every-time, through the depth & width of the content. We will strive to deliver on the brief creatively and also ensure that the business deadlines are met in the most cost effective manner."

The online bank is now available under the brand name www.stockimagebank.com. The images on the site can be searched via keyword search option as well as categories dropdown for easy search. "Through our images we will showcase the immense talent in our country. We will showcase the new India, the changing times, the change in mindsets in terms of advertising and customer interactions." says Sugandha.

"I think this kind of site is really needed nowadays. It has an emphasis on Indian images of an international quality, and considering that Indian Advertising has become quite world class nowadays the fit is great" says Shivjeet Khullar Creative Director K Factor an Industry veteran.

A booming Indian economy, growing need for content and government initiatives that have opened up the sector to foreign investment are driving growth in the print media. With the literate population on the rise, more people in rural and urban areas are reading newspapers and magazines today. Also, there is more interest in India amongst the global investor community. This will lead to demand for more content from India.

Stock Image Bank promises to be a force visually enforcing this growth.
